Manatee County Announces Neighborhood Summit
Residents and community leaders invited to connect, collaborate, and strengthen local neighborhoods.
Manatee County will host its annual Neighborhood Summit on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Bradenton Area Convention Center, bringing together residents, neighborhood leaders, and community partners to share resources and strengthen local neighborhoods.
“This summit is about empowering residents and neighborhood leaders with the tools and information they need to strengthen their communities,” said Tal Siddique, Manatee County Commission chairman. “When neighbors collaborate and stay engaged, it creates stronger, safer and more connected neighborhoods across Manatee County.”
Hosted by the county’s Neighborhood Connections Division, the half-day summit will feature workshops, panel discussions, and networking opportunities designed to help residents learn about resources available to neighborhood associations and community groups. The event aims to connect residents with local leaders and organizations while highlighting ongoing efforts to improve quality of life in neighborhoods throughout Manatee County.
Participants will hear from subject matter experts, learn best practices for neighborhood engagement, and gain insight into programs and initiatives that support community development. The summit also provides an opportunity for residents to share ideas and collaborate with county staff and fellow community leaders.
The Neighborhood Summit is open to the public and welcomes anyone interested in becoming more involved in their community or strengthening their neighborhood organization.
“Events like the Neighborhood Summit help bring people together and create meaningful connections between residents, community organizations, and local government,” said Michael Strollo, Manatee County Community & Veterans Services Department Communications Coordinator. “By sharing resources and ideas, we can help empower neighborhoods to take an active role in shaping the future of their communities.”
The event is free to attend, and light refreshments will be provided.
