Manatee County Brings Full Slate of Ribbon Cuttings, Theater, Music, and Community Markets Sept. 15–22
Manatee County residents can look forward to a packed week of activities from September 15 to 22, 2025, featuring official ribbon cuttings, city meetings, live music, theater performances, and outdoor markets.
The week begins on Wednesday, September 17, when The Salvation Army in Manatee County hosts a Canteen Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 1:15 p.m. at 5328 24th Street East in Bradenton. The new canteen will support emergency disaster services and community outreach.
On Friday, September 19, Soar in 4 will unveil its new Soar Lab at 6423 9th Street East in Bradenton. The grand opening and ribbon cutting begin at 9:00 a.m., followed by family activities. Regular lab hours will begin September 23, with programming on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
The weekend keeps the momentum going with The Jund Collective’s Pop Up in the Park, scheduled for Saturday, September 20, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Parrish Community Park. Visitors can expect local artisans, handmade goods, and community vendors.
Alongside these special events, the Manatee Performing Arts Center continues its run of Gutenberg! the Musical!through Sunday, September 21. The satirical comedy offers evening performances during the week with matinees on the weekend. Tickets remain available through the Florida Cultural Group box office.
Downtown Bradenton adds to the cultural mix with Oscura Live Jazz Night on Thursday, September 18, where The Chaunces Trio will perform from 7:00 to 11:00 p.m. The event is open to all ages, with minors accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Local government meetings also fill the calendar, including the Manatee County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, September 16, at 9:00 a.m., featuring agenda items on proclamations, elections equipment purchases, and administrative approvals. City of Bradenton and City of Palmetto calendars list workshops and advisory sessions for residents to attend.
With civic gatherings, new community spaces, and vibrant arts programming, the week promises a strong start to the fall season across Manatee County.
