Manatee County Clerk makes getting a passport easier with appointments
Bradenton, Fla. (February 11, 2025) – Customers applying for a passport now have the convenience of scheduling appointments, thanks to a new service launched by the Manatee County Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller. Now customers can book appointments online, reducing wait times and ensuring a smoother application process.
“We recognize that people have busy schedules, and waiting in line for a passport can be frustrating,” said Angel Colonneso, Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Manatee County. “This appointment system will help residents plan ahead and receive efficient service without the uncertainty of walk-in wait times.”
The Clerk & Comptroller’s Office accepts applications for first-time passports, passports expired for more than 15 years, and passports for minors.
Appointments can be scheduled on the Clerk & Comptroller’s website at www.ManateeClerk.com. Appointments can be scheduled for individuals and families with up to six members. For customers who need to apply for more than six passports, please call the Passport Division at (941) 741-4022.
To expedite service, customers are encouraged to complete their passport application before their appointment. Forms and instructions are available on the U.S. Department of State’s website.
Before arriving for an appointment, customers must bring the following items with their completed and unsigned application:
Proof of U.S. citizenship (e.g., birth certificate or naturalization certificate).
A valid government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license).
A check or money order payable to the U.S. Department of State for the application fee. Current fees are listed on the Clerk & Comptroller’s website.
A separate form of payment for the Clerk & Comptroller’s processing fees.
Customers may bring their own passport photo or have one taken on-site for a small fee.
The Clerk & Comptroller Office will continue to offer passport applications on-site. Customers who need to complete their passport application on-site will need to arrive at least 10 minutes before their appointment time to fill out their application.
