Manatee County Commission District 4 Race Features Two Republican Candidates and One Write-In Candidate
Voters in Manatee County Commission District 4 will choose their next commissioner during the 2026 election cycle. The race includes incumbent Republican Mike Rahn, Republican challenger Glen Gibellina, and write-in candidate Allison Sneed. Candidate qualification information is available through the Manatee County Supervisor of Elections.
District 4 is one of five single-member districts on the Manatee County Commission. Commissioners are responsible for adopting county policies, approving budgets, overseeing infrastructure and public services, serving on the Port Authority, and making land use and development decisions that affect residents throughout the county.
Republican: Glen Gibellina
Glen Gibellina is a community advocate and currently serves as vice chair of the Manatee County Affordable Housing Advisory Board. He has also served on the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness board and has volunteered as a guardian for Southwest Florida Honor Flight. Gibellina has regularly attended Manatee County Commission meetings as a citizen advocate and has completed the Florida Association of Counties’ Certified County Commissioner program. He is seeking his first term on the County Commission.
Republican: Mike Rahn (Incumbent)
Mike Rahn is the incumbent District 4 commissioner, having been elected to the Manatee County Commission in 2022. During his current term, he has served as chairman of the Seaport Manatee Port Authority and has focused on transportation improvements, infrastructure upgrades, economic development, neighborhood revitalization, and public safety initiatives within District 4. Before joining the commission, Rahn served on the county Planning Commission and has worked in the mortgage industry for several decades. He is seeking reelection to a second term.
Write-In: Allison Sneed
Allison Sneed has qualified as a write-in candidate for the District 4 race. As a write-in candidate, Sneed’s name will not appear on the printed ballot, and voters wishing to cast a vote for her must write in her name where permitted under Florida election law. At the time of qualification, limited biographical information was publicly available through election records.
