Manatee County Commissioners Hire Four New Aides, Expanding Public Accessibility
Manatee County Commissioners have expanded their staff, hiring four new aides, marking the first time each of the seven commissioners will have a dedicated aide. This move, discussed in a January BOCC special meeting, is aimed at enhancing commissioners' accessibility and improving community engagement. The new aides, selected for their varied qualifications and experience, will assist in administrative tasks, constituent communication, and policy research. The aides began their roles on January 21, each earning a starting salary of $58,240.
Vinola Rodrigues, with a background in project management and media relations, will assist District 1 Commissioner Carol Felts. Cindy Nelson, a Supervisor of Elections Office veteran, joins District 2 Commissioner Amanda Ballard. District 3 Commissioner Tal Siddique hired Maria Zuleta, a former legislative aide, who will work remotely. With educational and nonprofit experience, Edward Bailey will support District 5 Commissioner Bob McCann.
