Manatee County Completes Two New Raised Crosswalk Projects to Improve Pedestrian Safety

Manatee County has completed two new raised crosswalk projects as part of its ongoing effort to improve roadway safety and accessibility for pedestrians throughout the community.

The newly completed raised crosswalks are located at Greenbrook Park and on Palma Sola Boulevard. County officials said the improvements are designed to make pedestrians more visible to motorists while encouraging drivers to reduce their speed as they approach crossing areas.

In addition to improving safety, the raised crosswalks provide more accessible sidewalk connections, making it easier for pedestrians of all ages and abilities to travel through the surrounding neighborhoods.

At Greenbrook Park, the completed crosswalk enhances sidewalk connectivity and supports safer pedestrian movement throughout the area. The raised crosswalk on Palma Sola Boulevard similarly improves sidewalk accessibility while creating a safer crossing point for residents and visitors.
