Manatee County Expands Free Recycling Drop-Off Locations Ahead of Holidays
Manatee County has expanded its free recycling drop-off program by adding two new locations, providing residents with more convenient options just in time for the holiday season.
The newly added sites are Manatee County Utilities at 4750 66th St. W. in Bradenton and Parrish Community Park at 7550 Fort Hamer Road in Parrish. These locations join an existing network of drop-off sites across the county designed to serve residents who do not have curbside recycling or who generate more recyclables than their household bins can accommodate.
Residents can recycle paper, cardboard, metal, plastic, and glass at the following locations:
Manatee County Utilities, 4750 66th St. W., Bradenton
Parrish Community Park, 7550 Fort Hamer Road, Parrish
Braden River Park, 5201 51st St. E., Bradenton
Lakewood Ranch Park, 5350 Lakewood Ranch Blvd., Bradenton
Buffalo Creek Park, 7550 69th St. E., Palmetto
Bayfront Park, 310 North Bay Blvd., Anna Maria
Manatee Public Beach, 4000 Gulf Drive, Holmes Beach
Coquina Beach, 2650 Gulf Drive S., Bradenton Beach
Bennett Park, 400 Cypress Creek Blvd., Bradenton
Lena Road Landfill, 3333 Lena Road, Bradenton
County officials remind residents that all recyclables must be placed loose in the containers, not bagged, and should be free of garbage or yard waste. Cardboard must be clean and flattened before being deposited.
The expanded drop-off network is intended to make recycling more accessible during the busy holiday season, when packaging waste typically increases. Additional recycling locations may be announced in the future.
