Manatee County Gears Up for a Star-Spangled Week of Celebrations and Family
Manatee County is rolling into the first week of July 2025 with a festive blend of fireworks, family activities, and patriotic celebrations from July 1 through July 7. Residents and visitors alike can look forward to a packed calendar of Independence Day festivities, free family movie showings, parades, and more across Bradenton, Palmetto, and the surrounding area.
🎆 Fireworks & Fourth of July Celebrations
Bradenton Marauders Independence Day Celebration – July 3
Kicking things off on Wednesday, July 3, LECOM Park will host the Marauders’ annual Independence Day Celebration. The fun begins at 6:30 p.m. with the first 1,500 fans receiving a free commemorative T-shirt. The evening caps off with the biggest fireworks show of the year.
Anna Maria Island Privateers Parade – July 4
On Thursday, July 4 at 10 a.m., the Anna Maria Island Privateers will once again host the Southeast’s Biggest Water Fight Parade, inviting families to line the streets—and prepare to get soaked! Sponsored by Sato Real Estate, this beloved island tradition is open for registration at amiprivateers.org.
Downtown Bradenton and Palmetto Riverfront Fireworks – July 4
As evening approaches, residents can head to the Green Bridge and both riverfronts for a joint City of Bradenton and City of Palmetto fireworks show. The Green Bridge will close to vehicles at 8:30 p.m. and to pedestrians at 8:45 p.m. to accommodate the 9 p.m. fireworks, launched from the fishing pier.
Rooftop Fireworks Party – July 4
Those looking for an upscale viewing experience can attend the Rooftop Fireworks Party at the Palmetto Marriott’s Oyster River Rooftop from 7–10 p.m. for $200 per person, including food and beverage credit.
Fourth on Fifth Block Party – July 5
The Palmetto Marriott continues the party on July 5 with a free block party at The Yard, running from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy yard games, water games, DJ music, and an eating competition—all open to the public.
🎬 $1 Family Movies at Regal Cinemas – July 1 & 2
The Regal Summer Movie Express series continues July 1 & 2 with $1 showings of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and The Wild Robot at participating Regal Theaters. Families can also enjoy $5 snack packs and $3 Dippin’ Dots deals.
🎤 Live Local Music & Culture
Oscura in Downtown Bradenton features nightly events throughout the week, including jazz, indie, and punk shows. On July 3, enjoy a laid-back jazz night, while July 5 turns up the energy with a backyard BBQ and live performances by Be Kind Rewind. July 6 features a heavier lineup with Peacemaker and others.
🧹 Eco-Conscious Community Event – July 5
Manatee County Government invites volunteers to participate in a 5th of July Beach Cleanup from 9–11 a.m. following the holiday festivities. The event helps protect local marine habitats after the fireworks and crowds.
