Manatee County Gears Up for St. Patrick's Day Festivities
As St. Patrick's Day approaches, Manatee County is set to host various events celebrating Irish culture and community spirit. Here's a roundup of the top festivities in the area:
Lakewood Ranch Irish Celtic Festival & Lucky Dog Parade
On Saturday, March 15, the annual Irish Celtic Festival returns to Greenbrook Adventure Park in Lakewood Ranch.Attendees can enjoy Irish-themed food, beer, and whiskey, along with stage performances, a kids' corner, a 21-and-up relay race, and the popular Lucky Dog Parade sponsored by Satchel's Last Resort. The event runs from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with free admission and $5 parking.
St. Patrick's Day on Main Street Lakewood Ranch
Also on March 15, McGrath's Irish Ale House and Ed's Tavern are teaming up to host a St. Patrick's Day celebration on Lakewood Ranch Main Street. The festivities, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., will feature Irish cuisine, beer, live music, dance performances, and various games and entertainment suitable for all ages.
Bradenton St. Patrick's Day Block Party
Downtown Bradenton's Old Main Street will come alive on March 15 with a family-friendly St. Patrick's Day block party. From 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., attendees can enjoy activities and live music by the band 22N.
Anna Maria Island St. Patrick's Day Parade
A cherished tradition, the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade on Anna Maria Island is set for Sunday, March 16. The parade will commence at 4 p.m., starting from Holmes Beach City Hall and proceeding through the island's streets. It will feature vibrant floats, decorated vehicles, and community groups.
