Manatee County Graduation Rate Increases 3.4% in 2023-24 School Year
According to data from the Florida Department of Education, the School District of Manatee County reported a 3.4 percentage point increase in its graduation rate for the 2023-2024 school year, rising from 82.3 percent in the previous year to 85.7 percent.
Bayshore High experienced a 9.1 percentage point increase, reaching an 81.4 percent graduation rate. Braden River High saw a 1.7 percent rise to 92.4 percent, while Lakewood Ranch High maintained a 96.5 percent graduation rate. Manatee High recorded a 4.4 percentage point gain to 85.0 percent, and Palmetto High improved by 5.9 percent to 90.7 percent. Parrish Community High showed a minor increase of 0.4 percent, reaching 95.1 percent. Southeast High achieved a significant 12.7 percentage point surge, reaching 89.2 percent.
The School Board plans to discuss the initiatives contributing to these improvements during its meeting on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. at the Walter E. Miller School Support Center in Bradenton.
