Manatee County Has Rain Barrel Program to Promote Water Conservation
Bradenton, FL—Manatee County has introduced a Rain Barrel Program to help residents and businesses reduce utility bills and conserve water. Participants can collect and store rainwater for irrigation, promoting sustainable water use.
Program Details:
Eligibility: Open to all Manatee County residents and businesses, with a limit of four rain barrels per property.
Cost: Each rain barrel kit costs $52.00, including a reconditioned 55-gallon plastic drum, necessary fittings, a brass spigot, and assembly instructions.
Ordering Process: Manatee County Utilities customers can request a rain barrel through their online account portal under the "Requests" section. Alternatively, orders can be placed by contacting Utilities Customer Service at 941-792-8811 or emailing CSS@mymanatee.org.
Payment: Payments can be made via the online portal, interactive phone system, or by submitting guaranteed funds (cash or money order) to the Utilities Administration building's drop box at 4410 66th St W, Bradenton, FL 34210.
Pickup: After payment is processed, the Water Conservation Team will schedule a contact-free pickup by appointment.
