Manatee County High School Football Teams Deliver Strong Performances in Week Ending Sept. 26
High school football teams across Manatee County wrapped up another action-packed week, with several local programs securing decisive wins heading into October.
IMG Academy continued its dominance with a 49-14 victory over the Central Red Devils, while Saint Stephen’s Episcopal delivered an impressive performance at home, defeating Marco Island Academy 50-7. Palmetto put on one of the week’s most commanding displays, overpowering Gateway 70-6.
Bradenton Christian also celebrated a decisive win, taking down The Classical Academy of Sarasota 42-6. Across town, Braden River held off North Port in a competitive matchup, prevailing 24-14. Southeast earned a road win, topping St. Petersburg 22-14.
Manatee notched a vital district victory with a 42-7 decision over Pinellas Park. Meanwhile, Booker cruised past Bayshore with a 50-0 shutout.
Lakewood Ranch struggled on the road, falling 35-0 to Lennard in Ruskin, capping off a mixed week for county programs.
With several decisive wins and some tough losses, Manatee County teams continue to shape the midseason picture, building momentum as district play intensifies.
