Manatee County Hosts Family Bike Ride and Traffic Safety Event at Lakewood Ranch Library
Manatee County Public Works will host a community Traffic Safety Event and On-Road Family Bike Ride on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Lakewood Ranch Library.
The event aims to promote safe cycling, traffic awareness, and healthy living for families across the county. Activities will include a Traffic Trivia and Ice Cream Giveaway, helmet and safety gear giveaways, and a Traffic Garden designed to teach kids of all ages about bicycle safety in a fun, interactive way.
Participants can also take part in a family-friendly on-road bike ride that begins and ends at the Lakewood Ranch Library. Riders will travel eastbound along Rangeland Parkway, turning around at Folly Way before returning to the library. Manatee County Sheriff’s Deputies will provide traffic control at key points along the route to ensure a safe experience for all.
Organizers encourage families to arrive by 10 a.m. for the 10:30 a.m. ride. The morning will feature free activities, educational resources, and safety prizes.
