Manatee County Offers Free Holiday Garbage Drop-Off for Unincorporated Residents
After the holiday celebrations wind down, many Manatee County residents are left with overflowing trash bins. To help ease the post-holiday cleanup, Manatee County is hosting The Great Holiday Haul-Off on Saturday, January 3, 2026, offering a free garbage drop-off for eligible residents.
From 8 a.m. to noon, residents of unincorporated Manatee County can bring extra bagged household garbage to either of two locations: 3333 Lena Road or 4520 66th Street West in Bradenton. The event is designed to accommodate excess trash, such as wrapping paper, tissue paper, and food waste, generated by hosting family and friends over the holidays.
Only bagged garbage will be accepted at the event. Loose trash and bulk items are not permitted, and residents are reminded that bulk items can be disposed of at the county’s Community Cleanup event scheduled for January 10. Additionally, the haul-off will not accept commercial waste, yard waste, electronics, or household hazardous materials.
County officials encourage residents to take advantage of this free service as a convenient and responsible way to manage extra holiday waste while keeping neighborhoods clean.
