Manatee County Opens New Free Recycling Drop-Off Site at Premier Sports Complex
Manatee County residents now have another option for recycling household materials with the addition of a new free recycling drop-off location at Premier Sports Complex in Lakewood Ranch.
The new site expands the county’s network of recycling drop-off centers, providing a convenient option for residents who do not have curbside recycling service or who occasionally have more recyclable materials than their household bins can accommodate.
Accepted materials include paper, cardboard, metal, plastic and glass. County officials encourage residents to use the sites to properly dispose of recyclable items and help reduce waste sent to landfills.
To ensure materials can be processed correctly, recyclables should be placed loosely in the containers and not inside plastic bags. Residents are also reminded not to place garbage, yard waste or other non-recyclable materials in the recycling bins.
Cardboard must be clean, broken down and flattened before being deposited in the containers.
The Premier Sports Complex location joins several other recycling drop-off sites located throughout Manatee County, giving residents additional opportunities to recycle responsibly and conveniently.
