Three volunteers from The Salvation Army of Manatee County have deployed to the Florida Panhandle to assist communities affected by Hurricane Isaias.
Renee Smith, Thomas Costantini, and Frank Rodriguez make up Bradenton’s first canteen team deployment in support of the storm response. The volunteers will assist Salvation Army relief operations by providing food, hydration, and emotional and spiritual care to residents and emergency personnel in affected communities.
Salvation Army canteen teams are an important part of disaster response operations, using mobile feeding units to deliver meals, beverages, and other essential assistance to areas recovering from severe weather.
The deployment reflects the organization’s commitment to supporting communities during emergencies, with volunteers traveling beyond their local service areas to help those in need.
The Salvation Army of Manatee County expressed appreciation for Smith, Costantini, and Rodriguez, recognizing their willingness to leave their families and personal responsibilities to assist with hurricane recovery efforts.
