Manatee County School District Begins Rezoning Process for 2026-27 Academic Year
The Manatee County School Board has initiated revising school attendance zones to accommodate the county's growth. While no immediate changes will occur, adjustments to school boundaries will take effect in the 2026-2027 school year.
District officials have scheduled five public meetings across different parts of the county to ensure transparency and gather community input. These meetings explain the rezoning process and allow residents to voice concerns or suggestions. No final decisions will be made at these sessions.
Residents are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings, all starting at 6:30 p.m.:
Monday, March 3 – Braden River High
Wednesday, March 5 – Parrish Community High
Thursday, March 6 – Palmetto High
Monday, March 10 – Lakewood Ranch High
Wednesday, March 12 – Southeast High
Each meeting will present identical information, allowing families to choose the most convenient session to attend.
