Manatee County Seeks 50 Poll Workers Ahead of August Primary Election
The Manatee County Supervisor of Elections is recruiting approximately 50 additional poll workers to help staff voting locations for the Aug. 18, 2026, Primary Election.
Officials are seeking dependable community members to serve as Inspectors and Deputies, two essential roles that help ensure polling places operate efficiently and voters have a smooth experience on Election Day.
Inspectors are responsible for helping set up polling locations, assisting with voter check-in and supporting the voting process inside the polling place. Deputies help prepare polling locations, greet voters and maintain order outside the polling room.
The Supervisor of Elections Office says poll workers play a critical role in protecting the integrity of local elections while providing valuable service to the community.
No previous experience is required, as training is provided before Election Day. Poll workers also receive compensation for their time and service.
The office is encouraging individuals who are dependable, detail-oriented and committed to serving their community to apply. With election season approaching, officials say additional poll workers are needed to ensure every polling location is fully staffed and prepared for voters.
