Manatee County Seeks Community Input on Cortez Boat Ramp Improvements
Residents have an opportunity to shape the future of the Cortez Boat Ramp as Manatee County hosts a series of community meetings to gather public input on desired amenities and improvements.
This week’s meeting takes place Wednesday, August 6, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Central Library, located at 1301 1st Avenue West in Bradenton. Attendees will have the chance to share their ideas, concerns, and suggestions directly with county staff and planners.
For those unable to attend the August 6 session, another meeting is scheduled for Monday, August 11, also from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Island Library, 5701 Marina Drive in Holmes Beach. Additional meetings are expected in the coming weeks to ensure broad community participation.
In preparation for the meetings, residents are encouraged to complete a short online survey at mymanatee.org/CortezBoatRamp. The input gathered from both the meetings and the survey will play a key role in shaping the vision and plans for this vital waterfront access point.
Manatee County officials hope that by engaging the public early in the planning process, the upgrades will reflect the needs and priorities of local boaters, fishermen, and recreational users.
