Manatee County Seeks Resident for MPO Citizen Advisory Committee At-Large Seat
Manatee County is accepting applications from residents interested in serving on the Sarasota/Manatee Metropolitan Planning Organization Citizen Advisory Committee to fill an At-Large vacancy that will help shape the region’s long-term transportation priorities.
The open position is available to any Manatee County resident, regardless of whether they live in an incorporated municipality or an unincorporated area. Officials say the role offers a meaningful opportunity for community members to provide input on transportation planning decisions that will impact the county for years to come.
The Citizen Advisory Committee supports the Metropolitan Planning Organization by offering feedback that reflects the perspectives, needs, and concerns of local residents. Members of the committee represent a diverse cross-section of the community from both Sarasota and Manatee counties, including individuals from various municipalities.
Candidates selected for the committee are recommended by their respective local governments and formally appointed by the MPO Board.
Applications for the At-Large position must be submitted online at mymanatee.org/applyforboard by March 31, 2026.
