Manatee County Students Selected for Prestigious Bank of America Student Leaders Program
Two local students are representing Manatee County as part of the 2025 Bank of America Student Leaders® program, a national initiative that connects high school juniors and seniors with paid internships and leadership training.
Alvin and Lina have been selected for this year’s cohort, joining more than 300 students from nearly 100 communities across the country. As part of their internship, they will work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Manatee County, gaining hands-on experience in community service, nonprofit operations, and workforce development.
The Student Leaders program, launched in 2004, reflects Bank of America’s ongoing commitment to youth employment and economic mobility. Participants not only develop practical work and leadership skills but also engage in service-oriented projects that create lasting community impact.
This summer, Alvin and Lina will also attend a week-long leadership summit in Washington, D.C., where they will meet with elected officials, nonprofit leaders, and fellow students to discuss civic engagement and social change.
