Manatee County to Host Community Discussion on E-Bike Safety and Micromobility
As e-bikes and other micromobility devices continue to grow in popularity across Manatee County, local officials are inviting residents to take part in a community discussion focused on improving rider safety and increasing public awareness.
The E-Bike Safety Awareness & Community Discussion will be held on Friday, July 10, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Manatee County Public Safety Center, 2101 47th Terrace East in Bradenton.
The event will provide information on current e-bike safety trends, recent updates to Florida laws, the existing Manatee County ordinance governing micromobility devices, and practical tips families can use to encourage safe riding habits. Participants will also have an opportunity to share ideas and discuss potential future approaches to improving safety throughout the community.
County officials encourage parents, riders and community members to attend, regardless of their level of experience with e-bikes or other micromobility devices. The discussion is designed to educate residents while gathering community input as the use of electric bicycles, scooters and similar transportation options continues to expand.
The free event aims to foster collaboration between residents and public safety officials to help create safer streets and trails for everyone.
