Manatee County Veterans Services Launches Free Ride Program for Medical Appointments

Starting January 1, Manatee County Veterans Services will introduce a new initiative to support local veterans by offering free rides to medical appointments. This service addresses transportation barriers and ensures veterans can access the care they need without additional challenges.

The program will operate similarly to ride-sharing services, providing convenient and reliable transportation for veterans struggling with reaching healthcare facilities. Veterans interested in using the service are encouraged to contact the Veterans Services Office at 941-745-3795 or via email at vets@mymanatee.org to verify their veteran status.

For those not already enrolled as clients of Manatee County Veterans Services, now is an ideal time to connect with the team. Veterans Services Counselors can help ensure veterans are informed about and connected to their eligible benefits.
