Manatee Library Foundation Announces James Patterson as Featured Speaker for 2026 “Booked for Lunch” Event
The Manatee Library Foundation has announced that bestselling author James Patterson will headline its 2026 “Booked for Lunch” fundraising event supporting local libraries and literacy programs throughout Manatee County.
The event is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, 2026, at the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa. A sponsor reception will begin at 11 a.m., followed by lunch at noon.
Foundation leaders said the annual event helps raise support for literacy initiatives, educational programming, and library services across the community. Organizers are currently seeking sponsors interested in supporting the event and local literacy efforts.
Sponsorship opportunities range from $600 to $10,000 and include benefits such as access to a pre-event reception with Patterson, premier seating, recognition in promotional materials and media, logo placement opportunities, and signed books.
The event is expected to draw community leaders, business owners, educators, and literacy advocates from across the region.
