Manatee Library Summer Learning Program Returns with Reading Rewards and Community Incentives
The Manatee County Library System is launching its 2026 Summer Learning Program, running from May 30 through July 31, inviting children and teens up to age 18 to stay engaged in learning while school is out. This year’s program encourages participants to explore national landmarks and deepen their understanding of the country through reading and educational activities.
Participants will track their reading progress in the Beanstack app, logging hours and monitoring their achievements throughout the summer. The program is designed to motivate consistent reading habits while offering incentives along the way, including free books and prizes.
Students who reach 20 hours of reading will be entered into a grand prize drawing, adding an extra level of excitement to the challenge. In addition, those who meet the 20-hour goal will receive two ticket vouchers for an upcoming Bradenton Marauders game on August 7, providing a community-centered reward to celebrate their accomplishment.
Families are encouraged to pre-register on the Beanstack platform before the program starts. The annual initiative continues to serve as a cornerstone of summer enrichment in Manatee County, helping young readers maintain academic skills while fostering a love of learning through fun, interactive activities.
