Manatee Memorial Hospital Hosts Groundbreaking for new Freestanding Emergency Department in Parrish: Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch
Manatee Memorial Hospital (MMH) held its groundbreaking today for its newest Freestanding Emergency Department: Manatee ER at Harrison Ranch, located on the corner of Harrison Ranch Boulevard and US 301 in Parrish. This marks MMH’s 3rd freestanding ED in Manatee County and fourth overall in the region, significantly expanding access to critical, around-the-clock care for residents of Parrish, Ellenton, and the North River communities.
Scheduled to open in late 2026, the 10,000+ square foot facility will offer 24/7 emergency services staffed by experienced physicians, nurses and support teams, equipped to assess and deliver care for everything from urgent conditions to major emergencies. The new facility will include nine private rooms, full-service laboratory, CT, x-ray, and ultrasound and will be conveniently available for outpatient imaging and lab services as well.
“Today we reaffirm our steadfast commitment to the entire Manatee County community,” said Andy Guz, Chief Executive Officer of Manatee Memorial Hospital.“The ER at Harrison Ranch brings full-service emergency care closer to home for thousands of families — because when a medical emergency strikes, every second truly matters. We are honored to bring this expansion and serve the growing needs of our region.”
Located along a key corridor in North Manatee County, the new facility will strengthen MMH’s ability to provide timely emergency care and help reduce delays in transport and treatment. The addition further enhances the hospital’s footprint across the county, ensuring that high-quality, patient-centered care is available where and when it is needed most.
