Manatee Memorial Hospital Names Judy Young as Chief Nursing Officer
Manatee Memorial Hospital is pleased to announce the appointment of Judy Young, MBA, BSN, RN, as its new Chief Nursing Officer (CNO), reporting to Andy Guz, CEO, Manatee Memorial Hospital. A seasoned healthcare leader with more than 38 years of nursing experience, Judy transitions into this role after serving with distinction as CNO at sister facility Lakewood Ranch Medical Center since 2014.
In her new position, Judy will lead all nursing services and the clinical aspects of all other hospital departments, continuing her unwavering commitment to clinical excellence, patient safety and compassionate care. Her proven track record in optimizing patient outcomes, strengthening nurse engagement, and successfully navigating numerous Joint Commission accreditations positions her as an outstanding addition to the hospital’s executive leadership team.

A Manatee County resident, Judy has lived in the area all her life and brings a deep understanding of the healthcare needs of the local community. Over the course of her career, she has served in multiple leadership roles in the Sarasota/Manatee region, including Assistant Chief Nursing Officer, Interim Vice President of Quality and Risk, and Director of Surgical Services.
In addition, she has led numerous process improvement initiatives, clinical certifications for specialties such as stroke, sepsis, heart attack care, and orthopedic surgery, and has helped her teams achieve Leapfrog “A” Patient Safety Grades. As she begins this new chapter at Manatee Memorial Hospital, Judy remains dedicated to advancing the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care in Manatee and Sarasota counties.
