Manatee School District to Host Five Community Meetings on Rezoning Draft Maps
The School District of Manatee County invites the public to attend one of five upcoming community meetings to review and discuss the first draft options of its district-wide rezoning plan.
At each meeting, district officials will present a menu of potential rezoning map options that could impact attendance boundaries across all public schools. These initial drafts will remain available on the district website throughout the summer break, allowing families time to review and provide input before any decisions are finalized.
Officials emphasized that no changes to current attendance zones will take effect for the 2025–2026 school year.
Community members are encouraged to attend one of the following meetings:
Wednesday, June 11 – Lakewood Ranch High School, 6:30–8 p.m.
Thursday, June 12 – Palmetto High School, 6:30–8 p.m.
Monday, June 16 – Braden River High School, 6:30–8 p.m.
Tuesday, June 17 – Manatee High School, 6:30–8 p.m.
Wednesday, June 18 – Parrish Community High School, 6:30–8 p.m.
For those unable to attend, feedback can be submitted online by visiting the district's rezoning page at manateeschools.net and clicking on the “Public Input” link under the 2026–2027 Residential Rezoning section.
The meetings are part of the district’s broader effort to gather public input before finalizing any changes for the 2026–2027 academic year.
