The Manatee Tiger Bay Club will recognize a group of local leaders for their contributions to Manatee County during the 2026 Pat Glass Annual Leadership & Scholarship Awards Dinner.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, 502 Third Ave. W. in Bradenton.
The annual awards honor leadership and community service across government, education, business, public safety, nonprofit work, philanthropy and media.
The 2026 Pat Glass honorees and awards are:
Judge Gilbert Smith — Lifetime Achievement Award
Marianne Barnebey — Presidential Award
Cox Auto Group — Business Leadership Award
Mary Glass — Educational Leadership Award
Chief Scott Tyler — First Responders Leadership Award
Tempo News — Media Visionary Award
Dr. Roosevelt Dunbar Jr. — Youth Advocate Leadership Award
Janene Amick — Nonprofit Leadership Award
De Bernard Woodie — Community Leadership Award
Palmetto Mayor Dan West — Community Impact Award
Vernon DeSear — Unsung Hero Award
Wendy Deming — Philanthropy Leadership Award
The dinner celebrates the legacy of Pat Glass and recognizes individuals and organizations whose work has made an impact in Manatee County. The event also supports the club’s scholarship efforts.
