The event, titled "Growth in Manatee County: Hearing From the Citizens," will feature a panel of local leaders discussing the public’s thoughts and concerns surrounding the county’s rapid development and future planning.
Speakers include Dr. Abbey Tyrna, Executive Director of Suncoast Waterkeeper; Norma Kennedy, President of the Parrish Civic Association; Karon Dixon, Executive Director of Palmetto Downtown Main Street; Bradenton City Councilwoman Lisa Gonzalez Moore (Ward 4); and Manatee County Commissioner Carol Felts (District 1).
This luncheon-style event will run from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is open to the public. Tickets are available for $30 to Tiger Bay members (May through August) and $45 for non-members.
The forum promises to offer a wide range of perspectives on how growth is shaping the region and what steps should be taken to ensure a balanced approach that considers infrastructure, the environment, and quality of life for all residents.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their questions and concerns to what is expected to be an insightful and engaging discussion.
