Marauders Bats Go Cold in Loss to Mighty Mussels
Brazoban earns two-hit night, Cimillo tags RBI single in rehab assignment
The Bradenton Marauders (15-25, 46-59) were held to six hits during a 6-1 loss to the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels (20-20, 57-48) on Saturday from LECOM Park. Bralyn Brazoban earned a multi-hit game, while Nick Cimillo notched an RBI single during his rehab assignment.
After the Mighty Mussels scored four runs in the top of the third and two in the fifth, the Marauders plated a run in the bottom half of the inning. Brazoban singled and Fredderick Ovalle walked to put runners on second and first. A single from Cimillo plated Brazoban to make it a 6-1 ballgame.
Bradenton went scoreless the rest of the way to finalize a 6-1 win for Fort Myers.
Eric Hammond (1-4) collected the win, letting up a run on three hits, a walk, and four strikeouts over 3.1 frames. Reinold Navarro (4-2) took the loss, allowing four runs on two hits, four walks, and five strikeouts over 2.2 frames.
The Marauders and Mighty Mussels play the finale of a six-game series on Sunday from LECOM Park with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m.
