The Bradenton Marauders (23-38, 54-72) were out-hit 17-7 during a 10-2 loss to the Lakeland Flying Tigers (33-29, 64-63) on Saturday from LECOM Park. Antonio Pimentel connected for three hits, while Brent Iredale extended his hitting streak to four games with a single.
Lakeland put together a 2-0 lead in the top of the third, but the Marauders answered back in the bottom half of the inning. Iredale singled and came around to score on a double by Pimentel, cutting the deficit 2-1.
The Flying Tigers plated four runs in the top of the fifth, and the Marauders responded with a run in the bottom half. Carl Calixte singled, moved to second on a groundout, and scored on a base hit from Chris Rembert to make it 6-2.
Lakeland combined to score four runs in the eighth and ninth innings, while shutting out Bradenton the rest of the way to finalize a 10-2 win.
The Marauders play their season finale on Sunday with first pitch set for 12:00 p.m.
