Master Gardener Volunteer Training Returns Fall 2025
Manatee County residents who love plants and are passionate about helping others can now apply for the Fall 2025 Master Gardener Volunteer training program, hosted by the UF/IFAS Manatee County Extension.
The comprehensive 14-week program is designed to grow participants’ horticultural knowledge and turn it into community impact. From soil science to pest management, trainees will receive expert-led instruction that prepares them to support public education programs, community gardens, and sustainable landscaping efforts throughout the county.
Classes begin in late August and will be held every Wednesday from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the UF/IFAS Extension office at 1303 17th Street West in Palmetto. The course fee is $200.
