MCAT Offers Free Shuttle Service for Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival

Festivalgoers attending the Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival can take advantage of free shuttle service provided by Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) on Saturday, Feb. 15, and Sunday, Feb. 16, from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

To ease traffic congestion and provide a hassle-free experience, MCAT will shuttle visitors between the pickup location at Cortez Road W and 99th St W and the drop-off point at 123rd St W, ensuring smooth access to the festival grounds.

Attendees are encouraged to park at Cortez Road Baptist Church, accessible from 99th/100th St W, before boarding the shuttle.

The Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival celebrates the rich maritime heritage of Florida’s Gulf Coast, featuring fresh seafood, live music, arts and crafts, and educational exhibits. The free shuttle service allows visitors to focus on enjoying the festivities without the stress of parking and traffic.
