MCAT Offers Free Shuttle Service to Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival
Manatee County Area Transit (MCAT) will provide free shuttle service to and from the Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival on Saturday, Feb. 14, and Sunday, Feb. 15, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., offering festivalgoers a convenient transportation option during one of the area’s most popular annual events.
Two pickup locations will be available for riders. On Anna Maria Island, shuttles will depart from Coquina Beach along Gulf Drive in front of the bus loop entrance. In Bradenton, riders can park and board near the pickleball courts at GT Bray Park. Both pickup sites will be clearly marked with Bus Stop PU signs to help attendees easily locate the designated areas.
The shuttle routes are designed to streamline access to the festival while helping ease traffic and parking congestion in the historic fishing village of Cortez. Route maps for both Coquina Beach and GT Bray Park detail entry and exit patterns to ensure smooth and efficient service throughout the event hours.
The Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival draws thousands of visitors each year to celebrate the region’s maritime heritage with fresh seafood, live music, arts and crafts vendors, and family-friendly activities. The complimentary shuttle service provides a stress-free way for attendees to enjoy the festivities without worrying about parking limitations.
Festivalgoers are encouraged to review the posted route maps in advance and plan accordingly to take advantage of this free transportation option.
