MCSO Detective Adrian Harrison Named 2025 Officer of the Year by Manatee Hundred Club
The Manatee Hundred Club honored Detective Adrian Harrison of the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office as the 2025 Officer of the Year during its annual banquet, held Tuesday evening. The prestigious recognition honors exceptional service and bravery among law enforcement officers serving Manatee County.
Detective Harrison was selected for his courageous actions in February 2024, when he rescued a driver experiencing a medical emergency after their vehicle collided with a pole. As flames engulfed the front of the vehicle, Harrison quickly broke a window, cut the seatbelt, and pulled the driver nearly 50 yards to safety—an act that likely saved the person’s life.
Law enforcement officers from nine local agencies were recognized during the event for their ongoing dedication and commitment to public safety.
In addition to the award presentation, Sheriff Rick Wells honored Manatee Hundred Club President Harry Traylor with a commemorative plaque, acknowledging the club’s continued support of local law enforcement throughout the year.
