Memorial Day Holiday Delays Solid Waste Collection in Manatee County
Manatee County residents are reminded that there will be no garbage, recycling, or yard waste collection on Monday, May 25, 2026, in observance of Memorial Day.
As a result of the holiday, all residential solid waste pickup services will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, including monthly bulk collections. The adjusted schedule is as follows:
Monday collections will be picked up Tuesday, May 26
Tuesday collections will be picked up Wednesday, May 27
Wednesday collections will be picked up Thursday, May 28
Thursday collections will be picked up Friday, May 29
Friday collections will be picked up Saturday, May 30
Normal collection schedules will resume Monday, June 1.
The Lena Road Landfill will also be closed on Memorial Day.
Residents in Trailer Estates, the City of Bradenton Beach, Town of Longboat Key, City of Palmetto, City of Bradenton, City of Holmes Beach, City of Anna Maria, City of Sarasota, and Sarasota County are encouraged to check with their local waste haulers for holiday collection schedules.
