Miami Investment Firm Affiliate Acquires Cortez Plaza in $39.4 Million Deal
An affiliate of Miami-based CORE Investment Management has purchased Cortez Plaza, a major shopping center in Manatee County, for $39.4 million.
The retail center, located at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Cortez Road West, spans more than 260,000 square feet and is anchored by LA Fitness and Sprouts. The site is located at one of the county’s busiest intersections, with over 100,000 vehicles passing through daily.
The seller was an LLC connected to Hackney Real Estate Partners of Richmond, Virginia. The transaction reflects ongoing interest from institutional investors in Manatee County’s commercial real estate market, particularly in high-traffic retail corridors.
Cortez Plaza is expected to remain a key retail hub in the area, with national anchors and daily traffic providing long-term stability for tenants.
