Moccasin Wallow Road Project Moves Forward with Segment Updates
MANATEE COUNTY – The Moccasin Wallow Road widening project is advancing in phases, with construction divided into four segments spanning 6.5 miles from U.S. 41 to U.S. 301. The project aims to improve traffic operations and support economic growth by enhancing access between SeaPort Manatee and the state’s transportation network.
Segments 1 and 4 are expected to be completed by late December 2025, bringing early improvements to the eastern and western portions of the corridor. Segment 2 is anticipated to wrap up by September 2026, while the final portion, Segment 3, is projected for completion by mid-2027.
Once finished, the expanded roadway will provide more efficient east-west travel across northern Manatee County, reduce congestion, and support commercial connections vital to the county’s long-term economic development.
