Musical Motion Program Launches Spring Schedule Across Manatee and Sarasota Counties
Families across Manatee and Sarasota counties will soon have new opportunities to connect, learn, and play together as the Musical Motion program launches its Spring 2026 schedule.
Musical Motion is a free, bilingual learn-and-play class designed for parents and caregivers with children from birth to age five who have not yet entered kindergarten. The program combines music, movement, and creative activities to support early learning, literacy, and school readiness while encouraging bonding between children and their caregivers.
Sessions focus on building social, language, and motor skills in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Parents and caregivers also benefit from the opportunity to build community with one another and gain practical ideas they can use at home to support their child’s development. Parenting educators are available during classes to answer questions and provide guidance on early childhood growth and learning.
The Spring 2026 schedule runs from January 12 through May 28, with classes held at multiple locations throughout both counties, including libraries, community centers, churches, and partner organizations. New class locations have been added this season alongside long-standing community partners, expanding access for families across the region. Families may attend as many or as few sessions as they choose, with participation offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Some library locations require pre-registration. Families who attend 10 sessions may receive an activity bag to take home, while supplies last.
Musical Motion is offered at no cost to families, with funding support from local government and community foundations. Donations are accepted year-round to help sustain the program. More information about class locations, times, and registration requirements is available through Parenting Matters Florida.
