National Poison Prevention Week Video and Poster Contest Opens to K–12 Students
Students across the country are invited to showcase their creativity and help raise awareness about poison prevention through the National Poison Prevention Week Video and Poster Contest, running in conjunction with National Poison Prevention Week, March 15–21, 2026.
The contest is open to all K–12 students, with poster submissions available for students in kindergarten through fourth grade and video submissions open to students in fifth through twelfth grades. The initiative encourages students to use art and storytelling to highlight the importance of poison safety and prevention in homes and communities.
The submission deadline is February 3, 2026.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete for a range of prizes. The Video Contest Grand Prize includes $1,000, split evenly between the student and a sponsoring organization, as well as a paid trip to Washington, D.C., to attend an awards ceremony on Monday, March 16, 2026. Additional prizes and recognition opportunities are also available.
National Poison Prevention Week is hosted by America’s Poison Centers and aims to educate families, educators, and communities on preventing accidental poisonings and knowing how to respond in an emergency.
