New Boys & Girls Club Opens in Manatee County to Expand Youth Programs and Support
A new Boys & Girls Club location officially opens in Manatee County on Friday, expanding access to after-school programs, mentorship opportunities, leadership development and career readiness resources for local youth. The newest location will be at the Rubonia Community Center in North Manatee.
Community leaders, supporters and families gather to celebrate the opening of the facility, which organizers say will provide a safe and supportive environment for children and teens throughout the area. The new club is designed to offer educational support, enrichment activities and programs focused on personal growth and future success.
Officials involved with the project said the new location will help meet the growing demand for youth services in Manatee County while giving students additional opportunities outside of the classroom. Programs offered through the club are expected to include homework assistance, workforce preparation, leadership training, recreational activities and mentorship programs.
The opening marks another investment in youth-focused services within the community, with organizers emphasizing the importance of creating positive spaces where young people can build confidence, develop skills and connect with supportive adults.
The Boys & Girls Club serves children and teens across multiple communities and focuses on academic success, healthy lifestyles and character development through year-round programming.
