New Bradenton Police Department Headquarters Underway, Set to Open in 2026
Construction is progressing on the future Bradenton Police Department headquarters, located on 6th Avenue West between 2nd Street West and 3rd Street West. The new facility is designed to enhance law enforcement operations, improve public access to police services, and provide updated technology and resources for officers.
The state-of-the-art headquarters will replace the department’s current facility, which has housed Bradenton Police since 1988. Before that, the department operated from multiple locations, including a small building near Manatee County’s courthouse. As the city’s population grew, so did the need for a more modernized police facility to accommodate expanding public safety demands.
The new headquarters will offer increased space for officers, specialized units, and community engagement areas, reflecting the city’s commitment to improving law enforcement services. The project is expected to be completed by 2025, with an official opening anticipated in 2026.
