New Freestanding ER Opens in Parrish to Serve Growing North Manatee Community
A new 14,000-square-foot freestanding emergency room has opened in north Manatee County. HCA Florida North River Ranch Emergency, located at 12145 Little River Way in Parrish, began welcoming patients on October 1.
The $16 million facility is an extension of HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in southern Hillsborough County. It features 11 treatment rooms, including a pediatric treatment room, a trauma room, and on-site laboratory, radiology, and CT services. The ER is staffed by board-certified emergency physicians, nurses, and technicians to provide care for urgent and emergent conditions such as fractures, strokes, respiratory issues, lacerations, and abdominal pain.
The facility is designed to serve the North River Ranch master-planned community, which is being developed for 6,000 residences and is already more than halfway built out. The emergency room is the first step toward establishing a larger healthcare presence in Parrish, with plans for a future hospital nearby.
Developers and hospital leaders emphasize that the new ER will help meet the health needs of the fast-growing Parrish and North River Ranch area while supporting broader community development.
