New Kiwanis Pavilion Dedicated at Camp Flying Eagle After Hurricane Milton Rebuild
A newly rebuilt Kiwanis Pavilion at Camp Flying Eagle has been officially dedicated, marking the completion of a community effort to restore a key gathering space damaged by Hurricane Milton.
Members of the Bradenton Kiwanis Club joined the Kiwanis Club of North Manatee, Scout leaders, campers and community supporters for the dedication ceremony celebrating the pavilion’s return.
The original structure sustained significant damage during Hurricane Milton, prompting local Kiwanis clubs to step forward with financial support for the rebuilding effort. Bradenton Kiwanis contributed $25,000 toward construction, while North Manatee Kiwanis added another $10,000 to help complete the project.
The new pavilion will provide a covered space for Scout activities, family events, outdoor programs and camp gatherings for years to come, ensuring Camp Flying Eagle continues to serve youth and the community.
The project highlights the ongoing commitment of local Kiwanis clubs to supporting children, families and community organizations throughout Manatee County. Volunteers, donors and community partners were recognized for helping make the rebuilding effort possible and restoring an important part of the camp following the storm damage.
