New “Singing River” Sculpture Installed at Mineral Springs Park Along Bradenton Riverwalk
Visitors strolling along Riverwalk East in Bradenton may notice a vibrant new addition taking shape at Mineral Springs Park. A public art installation titled Singing River, created by artist Reinaldo Correa, has recently been installed, bringing a colorful and interactive feature inspired by the flow and movement of the Manatee River.
The sculpture forms a canopy-like structure composed of bright elements designed to reflect the natural motion of water. Wind-activated components incorporated into the artwork produce soft, musical tones as breezes pass through, adding an auditory dimension to the visual display.
Plans also include installing a new pedestrian path beneath the sculpture, allowing visitors to walk beneath it and experience the artwork from below. The pathway will provide an immersive perspective, encouraging people to interact with the installation as they explore this section of the Riverwalk.
Additional site work surrounding the sculpture is expected to continue in the coming weeks. Crews will complete sidewalks and landscaping around the installation to enhance the park area and improve accessibility for visitors.
Singing River was selected through a public art process conducted in 2023 and was funded by the Bradenton Community Redevelopment Agency as part of ongoing efforts to enhance public spaces along the Riverwalk. The installation adds another artistic feature to the popular waterfront destination, which continues to evolve as a gathering place for residents and visitors.
