New Waterside ADC Boosts Community Engagement and Job Opportunities in Lakewood Ranch
Goodwill Manasota has expanded its community footprint by opening a new 2,030‑square‑foot attended donation center in Lakewood Ranch, located at 7180 University Parkway. This facility provides a convenient drop‑off point for gently used items while supporting the organization’s broader mission to strengthen local communities and reduce employment barriers.
The new center operates daily from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m., offering residents extended access to donation services. By establishing the Waterside ADC, Goodwill Manasota enhances donor convenience in a rapidly growing area and creates three new local jobs. This strategic expansion is part of a broader initiative to target emerging residential neighborhoods—especially areas east of Lorraine Road where new home developments are booming.
The center's modern design and welcoming atmosphere reflect the organization’s commitment to curb appeal and community service. Donations collected at the ADC will be processed and sold in retail stores across Sarasota, Manatee, DeSoto, Hardee, and portions of Lee and Northwest Charlotte counties. Proceeds from these sales are vital in funding job training programs, career services, and additional support for veterans and individuals facing employment challenges.
Goodwill Manasota continues to lead by example in community reinvestment and sustainable growth. The new Waterside ADC is a tangible step forward in making it easier for community members to contribute to programs that offer over three hours of job training per donation. This furthers the organization’s goal of changing lives through the power of work.
