Nonprofit to Deliver 20,000 Pajamas to Critically Ill Children
The Casey Cares Foundation is calling on the community to help deliver 27,000 pairs of pajamas to critically ill children through its 11th Annual #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty this April. This Thursday, April 16th, we celebrate PJ Day, and people all over the country will wear their PJs to represent the critically ill children in our programs.
Children facing long hospital stays often spend days or weeks in hospital gowns. Through this campaign, Casey Cares provides new, cozy pajamas that help restore comfort during incredibly difficult times. Simple acts, like receiving a new pair of pajamas, can have a meaningful impact on families navigating serious illness.
For more than 25 years, Casey Cares has created uplifting experiences for families with critically ill children. Programs include hospital pajama deliveries, sports game outings and meet-and-greets, special events, birthday surprises, and family activities designed to provide a break from the daily stress of illness.
Throughout April, the organization is encouraging the community to participate by wearing pajamas to work or school and hosting pajama drives to help reach the goal of 27,000 pairs for hospitalized and homebound children. Media outlets are also invited to join the fun by participating on-air and helping to spread awareness.
A Casey Cares representative is available for interviews to discuss the campaign, how viewers can get involved, and the impact these small comforts make for families facing critical illness.
