North River Community Market Set to Launch with Artisan Vendors, Food, Fun, Music, and Family Activities
The highly anticipated North River Community Market is ready to welcome the community for its Grand Opening on Saturday, September 14, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa in “The Yard” (600 US-41, Palmetto). The ribbon ceremony will take place at 9:45 a.m.
Market attendees will enjoy an exciting community marketplace atmosphere filled with a wide array of vendors, live music, family-friendly entertainment, and delicious food offerings.
Shop Local Vendors & Artisans
The market will feature an impressive lineup of more than 70 vendors and small businesses showcasing handmade creations, unique art and jewelry, pet products, apparel and accessories for men, women and kids, wood crafts, home goods, and much more. Shoppers can also browse booths highlighting health and wellness products and specialty goods.
Produce, Food & Flavors
Food lovers will be delighted with a range of options, including freshly baked breads, pastries, desserts, sweets, and other gourmet treats as well as produce, floral and plant vendors. A variety of food trucks and vendors will offer pizza, BBQ, Cajun, Thai, and classic American street food, along with coffee, natural juices, lemonade, shaved ice, and more.

A special highlight of the day will be the “Chef at the Market” booth, sponsored by Sysco, featuring talented local chefs preparing complimentary samples for guests to enjoy.
Family-Friendly Fun
The Kids Zone, hosted by the Palmetto Boys and Girls Club, will provide hours of entertainment with fun crafts, interactive games, face painting, gardening activities with the Manatee County Extension Center, and more.
Live Music & Performances
Guests can also enjoy a day filled with music and performances. Dirt Cheap Spirits, a fresh local duo delivering soulful takes on country and island covers, will provide the perfect soundtrack for the market. Adding to the entertainment, talented young performers from Star Academy and local dance troupes will take the stage to showcase their performing arts skills.
Pets Welcome
The North River Community Market is also pet-friendly — leashed pets are welcome to join in the fun.
