North River Fire District to Host Community Open House and Family Fun Day
The North River Fire District will welcome the community to its Open House and Family Fun Day on Saturday, February 14, 2026, offering residents a hands-on look at public safety services and resources available throughout Manatee County.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at North River Fire District Station 1, with activities extending into the Manatee County Fairgrounds. Families and residents of all ages will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of emergency vehicles, heavy equipment, and specialty resources brought in by participating agencies.
Attendees can expect to see fire and rescue apparatus, law enforcement and SWAT vehicles, helicopters, airboats, bulldozers, garbage trucks, and other equipment that support emergency response and public services. Many agencies will also host interactive displays and educational booths, allowing visitors to learn more about safety, preparedness, and the services available in their community.
The open house is designed to give residents a chance to meet first responders and public service professionals, ask questions, and better understand how local, state, and federal agencies work together to keep the community safe. The family-friendly event emphasizes education, engagement, and accessibility, creating an inviting environment for children and adults alike.
North River Fire District officials say the event is an opportunity to strengthen community connections while showcasing the resources that serve Manatee County every day. The Open House and Family Fun Day is free and open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend and take part in the activities planned throughout the day.
